Villa Beatriz inherited its name from the beloved Beatriz
of Francisco Antunes Guimarães who, in her honour, had this palace built in the end of the XIX century.
The palace would be completed in 1906. Unfortunately Beatriz died young and never lived in the Villa.
The palace has got four floors of exquisite taste. Inside there are several details of delicate
beauty, as the handpainted walls and ceilings, wide spaces, ornaments and luxurious XIX century
furniture, carefully preserved until nowadays. From the outside, you can notice the granite
handwork all around the palace, the statues that stand at the main entrance and the harmonious
and properly maintained gardens that surrounds the Villa.
Finally, you can only marvel at the Villa's swimming pool made of granite, with unique measures, among high and amazing
centennial trees which create a delightful setting.
